Mumbai- Chandrabhan Sharma College of Arts, Commerce and Science (Autonomous), Powai, successfully hosted the intercollegiate “Udaan” Festival 2025–26 – Zone II in collaboration with the University of Mumbai’s Department of Lifelog Learning and Extension (DLLE). The festival was organised in a vibrant and energetic atmosphere, aiming to encourage students’ creativity, confidence, and holistic development beyond academics.
More than 363 students from various colleges across Mumbai enthusiastically participated in the festival’s diverse competitions. True to its name, “Udaan,” meaning to soar high, the event provided a dynamic platform for students to showcase their talents and explore their creative potential. Participants displayed remarkable skills and passion, making the festival lively and memorable.
The festival featured four major competitions: Street Play, Elocution, Poster Making, and Creative Writing. Chandrabhan Sharma College secured gold medals in both the Street Play and Elocution competitions, highlighting the institution’s strong cultural and literary talent. Pravin Gandhi College of Law, Vile Parle, won the gold medal in Poster Making, while Agnel School of Law, Vashi, achieved first place in the Creative Writing competition.
The success of the event was made possible by the dedicated efforts of the college’s student volunteers, who efficiently managed all aspects of the festival—from registration to final performances—with professionalism and enthusiasm.
The festival was graced by the presence of Dr. Baliram Gaikwad, Director of DLLE, University of Mumbai, and Dr. Kunal Jadhav, DLLE Professor. College Principal Dr. Vaishali Rajput and DLLE Convenor Mr. Ravishankar Vishwakarma played key roles in organising and executing the grand celebration.
Overall, the Udaan Festival 2025–26 proved to be an inspiring and enriching experience for students, promoting creativity, teamwork, and personal growth.
