The Department of Multimedia and Mass Communication at NKES College, Wadala organized the much-awaited academic and creative initiative “SHINE 2026” on 16 February 2026 at the SVIMS Seminar Hall.
The event was organized with the objective of providing a platform for students to showcase their intellectual and creative abilities. Through various competitions, students were given the opportunity to present their talents and skills.
In the Research Paper Presentation competition, the first prize was awarded to Adityaraj Singh and Shivshyam Yadav, the second prize to Neil Barreto and Pragyan B. Ojaswi, and the third prize to Mohini Bhujbal.
In the Model in Media competition, the first prize was won by Yash Jhagde and Safwan Mukadam, the second prize by Rekha Rajbhar, and the third prize by Lavanya Methari.
In the Ad Nova competition, the first prize was secured by Sakshi Vitthal Gurav, the second prize by Rahul Ramchandra Vitekar, and the third prize by Dhruv Pawar.
For the Research Paper competition, Shraddha Aiyre-Shirke, Coordinator from Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s Hazarimal Somani College of Arts and Science, served as the judge. Media expert Chetan Mathur served as the judge for the Ad Nova and Model in Media competitions.
The main sponsor of the event was Swaroop Foundation (Founder: Swaraj Saste), with Rocks Dance Academy (Choreographer Ravi) as the co-sponsor. The media partner for the event was Mumbai Choufer (Editor: Prafull Fadke), the web news portal partner was My Andheri (Editor: Pramod Sawant), the photography partner was A.K. Production (Aryan Khedekar), and Maharashtra News (Editor: Sagar Gawai) supported the prize distribution ceremony.
The festival was successfully conducted under the guidance of the college Principal, Dr. Neha Tiwari, and was efficiently organized by the BAMMC Department Head, Mr. Shubham Pedamkar.
On this occasion, the institution’s esteemed office bearers—Mr. Parthasarathi Naik (President), Mr. Shashikant Joshi (Secretary), Mrs. Padamaja Banavasi (Secretary), Bhavani Bhargav (Treasurer), Mr. Anant Banavasi (Management Member), and Mr. Narayan Navlekar (Management Member)—were present and encouraged the students. With their valuable guidance and support, the festival concluded successfully.
