At N.K.E.S. College of Arts, Science and Commerce, the Department of BAMMC (Bachelor of Arts in Multimedia and Mass Communication) organized the much-awaited academic and creative initiative “SHINE 2026,” during which the students’ newsletter, “NKE Update,” was ceremoniously unveiled. The event was held in an enthusiastic atmosphere at the SVIMS Seminar Hall of the institution.
“SHINE 2026” proved to be a significant platform that fostered students’ creativity and professional skills. Integrating various aspects such as journalism, writing, editing, design, and teamwork, the students meticulously developed the “NKE Update” newsletter with dedication and a research-oriented approach. The publication features campus news, academic initiatives, cultural events, and success stories of students.
The release ceremony was organized under the guidance of Principal Dr. Neha Tiwari. The entire event was successfully planned and executed under the leadership of BAMMC Department Head Mr. Shubham Pedamkar. Their inspiring mentorship provided students with valuable hands-on learning experience.
The program was graced by esteemed office bearers of the institution. President Mr. Parthasarathi Naik, Secretary Mr. Shashikant Joshi, Joint Secretary Mrs. Padyamaja Banavasi, Treasurer Mr. Bhavani Bhargav, and Management Members Mr. Anant Banavasi and Mr. Narayan Navlekar were present to encourage and guide the students. They highly appreciated the students’ creativity and dedication.
In their addresses, the dignitaries emphasized the importance of experiential learning beyond textbooks. Highlighting the need for communication skills, analytical thinking, and creative vision in today’s competitive era, they extended their best wishes to the students for their future endeavors.
“NKE Update” symbolizes the students’ first step into the field of journalism. Through this initiative, they gained practical exposure to news writing, conducting interviews, the editing process, and layout design. The project has significantly boosted their confidence and will serve as a strong foundation for their future careers.
