Mumbai: NKES High School recently organized an innovative exhibition titled “Garza Maharashtra Maza,” based on the concept of “Learn, Earn & Spend.” The three-day event witnessed the enthusiastic participation of 900 students from Grades 5 to 9.
The exhibition featured five thematic rooms:
• Grade 5: Forts, Caves, Temples
• Grade 6: Culture, Visual Arts, Handicrafts, Traditional Games
• Grade 7: Food Culture, Festivals, Jewellery
• Grade 8: Saints, Poets, Authors
• Grade 9: Districts, Historical Places, Monuments, Mathematicians & Scientists
Students presented each theme through charts, models, and demonstrations. After visiting every room, students correctly answered questions to earn coupons, which they later used in the Fun Zone and Food Zone—experiencing the concept of “Learn, Earn & Spend” in a practical and enjoyable manner.

A special highlight of the event was the Movie Zone, where students watched a value-based short film and participated in a quiz. The next day, they wrote film reviews in English, Hindi, and Marathi, strengthening their multilingual abilities.
Overall, the exhibition fostered observation skills, presentation abilities, teamwork, financial awareness, and a sense of pride in Maharashtra’s rich heritage. Grade 9 students took the lead in managing, coordinating the event, showcasing remarkable leadership.
Through this unique initiative, NKES High School effectively blended education with enjoyment, presenting an inspiring model of innovative and holistic learning.
