Mumbai: The Annual Sports Fest for the academic year 2025–26 was successfully organized at NKES College of Arts, Commerce and Science, Wadala, affiliated with the University of Mumbai, on December 23 and 24, 2025, at the college playground. Held from 8.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. over two days, the event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, who demonstrated commendable sports skills, discipline, and team spirit.
The Sports Fest was conducted under the guidance of the college Principal, Dr. Neha Tiwari, and with the leadership and support of the NKE Society management. The occasion was graced by the presence of management members Shri Parthasarthi Naik (President), Shri Shashikant Joshi (Secretary), Smt. Padmaja Banwasi (Secretary), and Shri Anant Banwasi (Management Member). Their encouragement played a crucial role in the successful execution of the event.
Students from the first, second, and third years of BAF, BMS, B.Com, and BAMMC actively participated in the Sports Fest. Throughout the event, students displayed remarkable discipline, competitive spirit, and sportsmanship. With the aim of highlighting the importance of sports in the overall development of students, a variety of indoor and outdoor sports competitions were organized.
The indoor events included Carrom, Chess, Table Tennis, Ludo, and E-Sports (BGMI and Free Fire), while the outdoor events comprised Box Cricket, Kabaddi, Rink Football, Volleyball, 100-metre race, 200-metre race, 400-metre relay, Shot Put, and Tug of War. All competitions were conducted in accordance with prescribed rules and the principles of fair play.
The active involvement and guidance of the teaching staff contributed significantly to the smooth and efficient conduct of the Sports Fest. The entire event was meticulously planned and executed under the leadership of the Sports Committee Convener, Assistant Professor Gajendra Shukla. The dedicated efforts of student volunteers and committee members ensured proper registration, discipline, and seamless coordination of activities.

Based on overall performance across various events, the Champion Trophy (Boys) was awarded to Surya Padachi (TY BAF), while the Champion Trophy (Girls) was won by Afsheen Bankar (FY BAF). The winners were felicitated by the management members of NKE Society with certificates, medals, and trophies in recognition of their outstanding achievements.
Overall, the Annual Sports Fest 2025–26 at NKES College concluded on a highly successful note. The event promoted health awareness, unity, leadership qualities, and sportsmanship among students, thereby contributing significantly to their holistic personality development.
