Mumbai, March 14 – The 11th Multidisciplinary International Conference was successfully held at Chandrabhan Sharma College (Autonomous), Powai, in collaboration with University of Mumbai and The ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education, Hyderabad. The conference was organized on the theme “Indian Knowledge Systems: Bridging Tradition, Innovation and Sustainability.”
The conference was sponsored by the Indian Council of Social Science Research (Western Regional Centre). During the inaugural session, I/c Principal Dr. Vaishali Rajput, Dr. Rajan Welukar (Chief Guest), Dr. Varadraj Bapat (Guest of Honour), Kedar Dunakhe, Dr. Suyash Pradhan, Mr. Aalok Gupta (International speaker Hong-Kong) and Dr. B. R. Kamble addressed the gathering and highlighted the significance of Indian Knowledge Systems, sustainable development, and their relevance in modern education.
A total of 114 research papers were presented by professors and students during the conference. In the Teachers’ category, Dr. Atul Sathe (H.R. College) won the first prize, while Dr. Mamta Kumari (Dhempe College, Goa) secured the second prize. In the Students’ category, Pushpa Chaudhary and Srusti Pansare (K.J. Somaiya College) won the first prize, while Aman Singh (Chandrabhan Sharma College) secured the second prize.
The college expressed special gratitude to Mr. Prashant Sharma, Managing Trustee and Chairman of the college, for his guidance and support in the successful organization of the conference.
The conference concluded with a message emphasizing the importance of Indian Knowledge Systems in integrating tradition, innovation, and sustainable development for a brighter future. Conducted entirely offline at our college campus, the conference witnessed 300+ participants including research scholars, students, faculty members, and distinguished guests.
